Development of the Sectorial Project Wines From Brazil together with APEX Brazil, focusing to capacitate itself to render appropriate processes and products for development of exportations, by means of:
- Taking part of international fairs and events,
- Realization of projects: Image and Purchaser.
This project also counts with the participation of several entrepreneurial development entities and the viticulture sector.
About WFB Project
• Established in 2002 by FIERGS-RS (Industry Federation of Rio Grande do Sul) with 6 Brazilian wine companies aiming to export;
• In 2004 it became an “Integrated Sectorial Project” (PSI) entering an agreement with APEX (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) focusing on the promotion of the Brazilian wine through an agreement with IBRAVIN;
• In 2007 the project finished the 1st APEX agreement with 28 wine companies, increasing from 02 to 20 export destination countries and with the Brazilian export participation of 57.7% in comparison to 15.28% in 2002;
• Participation in 14 international fairs, generating 4,200 business contacts and business estimated in U$3.5 million in 12 months;
• Participation in 5 leading tasting events, receiving 743 participants including the media, importers, distributors, restaurants and specialized stores;
Market Strategies
• To present Brazilian wines as an attractive alternative within the range of wines from the New World;
• To promote the brand image “Brazil”;
• To instruct buyers and opinion makers about the Brazilian wines;
• To focus target markets with high consumption that are open to wines from the New World;
• To carry out biannual Image Projects showing the international media the country potential;
• To attract new buyers during business meetings promoted in Brazil;
• To keep a press and marketing assistance abroad to constantly promote the Brazilian products;
