Geisse Winery was established in 1979 by the agronomist and enologist Mario Geisse, Chilean who came to Brazil in 1976 contracted to direct the unit of Moet & Chandon in Brazil.
Soon in the first years he realized that here there an incredible potential to be discovered and developed for the elaboration of high quality products, mainly in relation of sparkling wine, which he considered to be the great vocation of the region.
Since then he started to investigate which would be the most appropriate place to plant its vineyards and get the highest possible standard quality regarding the raw material, Geisse then came across of Pinto Bandeira region, district of Bento Gonçalves, where he identified all the ideal characteristics to initiate its works. Today in Cave de Amadeu everything is focused in the continuous search of quality.
The devotion of Geisse today is rewarded with the high standard of quality reached at all its products. Having as a main characteristic the maximum respect to the proper style of the sparkling wine that this country can offer.
