Coming from Lovara, province of Vicenza, Giuseppe Benedetti arrived in Colônia Dona Isabel in 1877. In this region, known today as Bento Gonçalves, the Benedetti family joined the Tecchio family to establish Vinhas & Vinhos in 1967.
Since the very beginning, the secret of its success has been the same:
combining the local history with the centennial experience of both families in making fine wines, following sophisticated vinification processes developed in partnership with Vinícola Miolo.
Located in Caminho de Pedras, a tourist route well-known for the historic buildings made by the Italian immigrants, Lovara owns today a modern infrastructure capable of producing 150,000 bottles of wine a year.
The company has invested in equipment to receive grapes through a gravity flow system and in infrastructure aiming to improve the wine production process with modern techniques, which preserve the characteristics of grapes and maximize the potential of the fruit.
