The Brandelli family arrived in Brazil in 1887 from Verona, in the north of Italy. Just like all of the immigrants, they knew a lot about growing grapes and elaborating wines.
In 1991, Laurindo and his sons decided to institutionalize the sales of their wines, creating a wine company by the name of Vinhos Don Laurindo Ltda.
They have brought together tradition, art, and technique in their own production and grape selection process, resulting in excellent wine as the final product.
Don Laurindo wines are found in a region that has a natural vocation for growing European type wine grapes - the Vale dos Vinhedos located in Serra Gaúcha. Its geography is similar to North Italy, a region of valleys and mountains. The microclimate, with temperatures below 0º C during the winter, gives the grapevines a rest. Furthermore, the summer heat, with a very good incidence of sun, is extremely favorable for the production of grapes with an excellent quality.
